Englert Theatre – 221 E. Washington St.

Today the Englert seats 740 people. It holds all sorts of events including live music, theatre, comedy, dance, readings & lectures, films, and community events. Their goal is to operate as a community arts center and performance space, enhancing Iowa City’s historic downtown by preserving its last historic theater.
